We asked her three quick questions about her and her entrepreneurship.
WHO IS SHE?
A grounded and optimistic person who truly loves the creative work that comes with building companies rooted in well-being.
A mother to a daughter and soon welcoming a son, she deeply value family life with her husband, Daffa. Alongside her entrepreneurial journey with Under Your Skin, whose mission is to challenge traditional beauty norms and create products that are both effective and respectful of the body, she is also on her way to becoming a licensed therapist, a path she is deeply passionate about and that closely aligns with how she views both life and work.
WHAT'S BEEN KEY TO YOUR AND UNDER YOUR SKIN'S SUCCESS?
“For Under Your Skin, it’s been a combination of timing, the right people, and a lot of hard work. What started slowly took a rapid turn during the pandemic but behind that shift were months of trial and error.
On a personal level, it’s been the people around me and a constant willingness to keep going, even when I felt close to giving up. I also carry a strong belief that things unfold the way they’re meant to. That mindset has given me a sense of calm over the years - a trust that there’s always a way forward, even when it’s not immediately clear.”
WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF RUNNING A BUSINESS WITH YOUR MOTHER?
“Without a doubt, it’s the time we get to spend together. Being able to share the worries, doubts, laughs, and everything else that comes with building a business is a true gift. At the same time, we challenge each other, bring new perspectives, and grow together - both professionally and personally. I truly wouldn’t want to do it any other way!”
ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS INCREDIBLE AND CHALLENGING, HOW DO YOU FIND YOUR ENERGY?
“I truly believe in the importance of real rest. Time without my phone, without external input - just space to be.
Meditation (which I try to practice daily), taking care of my body, and eating well are non-negotiables for me. I see them as just as important as the work itself. And lastly, I think it’s essential to have fun and laugh along the way. We’re living in a pretty strange world, after all.”
