TENCEL™ Lyocell
Every BAUME garment begins with TENCEL™ Lyocell produced by Lenzing.
Produced from responsibly sourced wood in a closed-loop process that recovers more than 99% of the solvent used, TENCEL™ Lyocell combines exceptional softness, breathability and moisture management with a significantly lower environmental impact than many conventional fibres.
Naturally gentle against the skin, it becomes softer with every wear while maintaining its performance over time.
Lenzing reports recovering more than 99% of the solvent used in production, with process water also being recycled.
According to Lenzing, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are produced with at least 50% lower carbon emissions and water consumption compared to generic lyocell and modal fibres, based on Life Cycle Assessment standards (ISO 14040/44) and independently verified through Higg MSI.

Dyeing
Our fabrics are coloured using reactive dyes that create long-lasting colour while using less water, energy and fewer resources than many conventional dyeing methods.
Naturally Clean®
Our underwear fabric is enhanced with Naturally Clean®, extending its lifespan by at least 20%, creating an exceptionally soft hand feel and reducing the need for aggressive finishing treatments.
Labels, Thread & Elastic
Every detail matters.
Our labels are made from TENCEL™ Lyocell, while our sewing thread is made from recycled polyester and certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. Care labels are made using water-based print.
Underwear
Our underwear elastic is made from recycled polyester and certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
Athleisure
Our athleisure collection features a cotton elastic composed of 81.5% cotton and 18.5% elastane, also certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.

- 10% ROICA™ V550
- 9% conventional elastane
- 5% cotton

100 % Vegan
Every BAUME product is made without animal-derived materials.
Packaging
Every customer order is packed using biodegradable paper packaging produced in Portugal.
Our hang tags, thank-you cards and hygiene stickers are made from recycled paper, while our shipping bags are FSC® certified kraft paper.
About 20 % of our packaging is made from recycled materials, and around 60 % is made from FSC® certified paper.
To protect garments during storage, we currently use recycled plastic bags and are actively exploring lower-impact alternatives.
We are committed to reducing our use of synthetic materials even further. We continuously seek alternatives for the few synthetic components we use, including transitioning from conventional elastane to ROICA™ V550 and introducing cotton-based elastics.
