Production facility

Our essentials are made by Reugentex, based in São Tomé de Negrelos, in northern Portugal. Northern Portugal’s textile industry is a vital and highly respected part of the country’s economy, recognized globally for its excellence. Its strengths lie in transparent labor practices, swift production, deep industry expertise, and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. With a rich tradition of craftsmanship and easy accessibility, it’s one of the top fashion production hubs in the world.

Reugentex is committed to sustainability and transparency and sets yearly sustainability goals. They actively recycle, minimize material waste, and limit transportation whenever possible. Additionally, their solar-powered facility, with rooftop panels generates on average 45% of their daytime electricity. Besides that they take mindful steps to conserve energy and water, such as switching off the electricity board during lunch breaks to ensure zero energy usage and have installed automatic shut-off faucets to reduce water waste.

Reguentex are also selecting  suppliers who share their sustainability vision.

Reguentex maintain a garden where vegetables are grown to prepare daily soups for their staff. The team consists of 100 people.

Reguentex is certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), that includes both sustainability and social responsibility.

We visited Reguentex in June 2024 and plan for yearly visits as a minimum.
